Ketel One Releases Ltd-Edition 325th Anniversary Bottle

Joannes Nolet first opened his family distillery's doors in Schiedam, Holland in 1691. Passed down from father to son for 11 generations, the Nolet family has been crafting fine quality spirits ever since. To commemorate 325 years of distilling excellence at the Nolet Family Distillery, Ketel One Vodka has announced the release of a limited-edition bottle and new brand campaign. Additionally, Carl Nolet Sr., 10th Generation Master Distiller and Creator of Ketel One Vodka, will host a global celebration at the Nolet Family Distillery next May.

"Our father has always taught us, as his father did before him, 'Quality before everything,'" said Carl Nolet Jr., 11th Generation of the Nolet Family. "We are honoured to join our father and family this year as we reflect proudly on the past and look towards an exciting future for Ketel One Vodka."

The commemorative bottle, sadly not available in SA, is dressed in copper matte plating as a nod to the important role copper pot distillation plays in creating Ketel One Vodka. The ironwork-inspired design featured on the front and back of the bottle represents the actual ironwork above the entrance to the distillery in Holland. For the first time, the 11th generation, Carl Nolet Jr. and Bob Nolet, will have their signatures featured on the bottle. "Every bottle is signed for a reason – it is our promise to every consumer that they will find the same high quality liquid in every bottle of Ketel One," said Nolet Jr.

Ketel One vodka will launch a compelling new brand campaign filmed in and around the Nolet Family Distillery in Schiedam, Holland. The campaign, Our Life's Work, includes 30- and 15-second executions that will appear across broadcast, digital and social media platforms. Our Life's Work includes a spot dedicated to reminding consumers to drink responsibly. "We are thankful to have discerning drinkers who take the same care in enjoying Ketel One Vodka as we take in making it," said Nolet Jr.

For many years, the Nolet Family Distillery has opened its doors to tens of thousands of visitors. "Seeing is believing," said Nolet Jr. "For anyone travelling to Holland, please come and visit us at the Nolet Family Distillery where Ketel One Vodka is made. It is a privilege to open our distillery doors and invite all to come see the care, attention and expertise fully on display."

In May of 2016, Ketel One vodka celebrates 325 years of the Nolet Family Distillery. Nolet Sr., 10th Generation Master Distiller, will host the celebration with family, friends and the Nolet's "extended family" of valued bartenders at the Nolet Family Distillery in Schiedam, Holland.

"Diageo is proud to share in this momentous celebration and we join the Nolets in toasting centuries of success in the future. The passionate commitment of the Nolet family and their distilling expertise goes back 325 years, and is what has made Ketel One vodka one of the most recommended and requested vodkas in the world," said Doug Campbell, Brand Director, Diageo North America.
