Meet Andy Watts from Three Ships Whisky

Discover the South African Three Ships whisky range and meet Andy Watts, master distiller and pioneer in the South African whisky industry, at the FNB Whisky Live from 12 to 14 November at the Sandton Convention Centre.

Andy will share the journey of these locally produced whiskies and how they have earned many firsts for the South African whisky industry, namely: the first single malt, the first blend of South African and Scotch whiskies, and the first South African whisky to take the title as the World's Best Blended Whisky at the annual Whisky Magazine's World Whisky Awards with the Three Ships Premium Select 5 Year Old.

Visitors will be able to taste the Three Ships Premium Select 5 Year Old, gold medal winner at the 2014 International Spirits Challenge as well as the Three Ships Bourbon Cask Finish, named Africa's Best Spirit at the 2014 China Wine and Spirits Competition. Taste South Africa's first whisky launched in 1977, Three Ships Select, which received a double gold at the 2014 San Francisco International Spirits Competition.

The whiskies are crafted at The James Sedgwick Distillery in the Boland town of Wellington, established in 1886.
