  • Origin: This 1941 classic was born out of entrepeneurial synergy. John G. Martin had the rights for Smirnoff Vodka while Jack Morgan was owner of Hollywood's famous Cock n Bull Saloon. Morgan was trying to launch his own brand of ginger beer when the two men met at New York's Chatham Bar and came about the idea of mixing vodka, ginger beer and a splash of fresh lime juice. The called it the Moscow Mule.
  • Glass: Highball
  • Method: Shake the ingredients (except the ginger beer) and strain over blocked ice. Charge with ginger beer and stir.
  • Ingredients:

    50ml Eristoff Triple Distilled Vodka
    25ml Sir Juice Lime Juice
    12.5ml Giffard Sugar (Gomme) Syrup
    3 dashes Angostura Aromatic Bitters
    Charge Ginger beer

  • Garnish: Lime wedge
  • Notes: Some bars substitute ginger beer with ginger ale.
