New CEO of Spirits & Liqueurs for Rémy Cointreau

After 16 years at LVMH working in top brass positions on luxury brands such as Hennessy, Veuve Clicquot and the House of Krug, Rémy Cointreau has announced the promotion of Panos Sarantopoulos as the CEO its Liqueurs & Spirits Division with a view to accelerating growth.

Sarantopoulos joined Rémy Cointreau in 2011 to take charge of Metaxa and was instrumental in its recent resurgence over the past three years.

Sarantopoulos' new responsibilities within Rémy Cointreau include Cointreau, Rémy Martin, Passoa, Izarra and Ponche Kuba, as well as Guneagal Whisky.

Panos Sarantopoulos says, "I am honoured to be taking on the helm of the Liqueurs & Spirits Division of Rémy Cointreau. With the support of talented teams and our Group's agile distribution network, we will inject fresh energy into the division's houses, brands and activities so that they continue to gather the worldwide recognition they deserve."
