Purity Vodka, a Swedish small-batch ultra-premium vodka, has been crowned Grand Vodka Master at The 2015 Grand Spirits Masters Competition and continues as the consecutive title holder for five years in a row.
"The Spirits Business congratulates Purity Vodka for winning The Grand Vodka Master 2015. To become Vodka-of-the-Year five years in a row is an outstanding achievement and we are happy to join the chorus of praise to a truly exceptional vodka," said David Rose, Deputy Chairman of The Spirits Business.
The Spirits Business hosts several competitions, which receive more than 700 submissions throughout the year. Medals are awarded based on blind tasting panels lead by spirit experts and trade journalists. The brands that are awarded Gold and Master Awards are then evaluated on a variety of levels and criteria for the year's ultimate prize, the title of Grand Master. The Grand Vodka Master award was announced at The Spirits Masters Luncheon held in London recently.
Earlier this year, Purity Vodka received more than 100 gold medals in international blind taste competitions in less than a decade.
"I'm humbled again to earn Grand Vodka Master for a fifth year in a row," said Thomas Kuuttanen, Master Blender and creator of Purity Vodka. "We see these awards as proof in our goal to create an exceptional tasting vodka that redefines the category. It is a direct result of the continued quality and taste that we seek to provide consumers within every bottle of Purity Vodka."
