The Dead Rabbit, a tri-level mid-19th century style Irish/New York drinking saloon, has won "Best American Cocktail Bar" and "World's Best Drinks Selection" at the 2014 Tales of the Cocktail's Spirited Awards held in New Orleans. The annual awards, presented at a gala ceremony at the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel, are considered the "Oscars" of the spirits and cocktail communities. They highlight Tales of the Cocktail, the world's premier cocktail festival that attracts bartenders, media and spirits industry leaders from across the U.S. and the world.
The two Spirited Award wins reinforce the bar's achievements at last year's Tales of the Cocktail that included winning "World's Best New Cocktail Bar," "World's Best Cocktail Menu" and "International Bartender of the Year" for Jack McGarry.
